This week you will learn terminology in critical thinking.

1.Learn about different types of intelligences.
2. Participate in the discussions on the readings and videos.
3. Watch and discuss Adichie's speech

What is an argument?

1. Learn about how to make a fair argument and how to analyze theory.
2. Discuss how we can overcome biases and be cautious of our own.
3. Watch and discuss Zimbardo's speech.

Week 4

Learning about fallacies

1. Read and watch lecture on fallacies.
2. Discuss where we find fallacies in our day-to-day lives
3. Complete the fallacies assessment.

Week 5

Start unit project: See "Project" tab for more specifics.

Week 6

This week you will turn in your final project on fallacies.
1. Turn in final project
2. Share your project with another person and/or group and respond two at least two projects.

Week 7

This week you will learn terminology in critical thinking.

1. Discuss Social Media and it's impact on contemporary culture.
2. Participate in the discussions on the readings and videos.

Week 8

Social Media and Mental Health

1. Learn about how social media effects different types of people.
2. Discuss practices and habits: Play Depression Quest
3. Watch and discuss "Is Social Media Making Us Lonely?".

Week 9

Activism and Social Media

1. Lecture on convergence culture and how social media has influenced activism.
2. Readings TBA
3. Participate in the discussions and readings (as always)

Week 10

Start unit project: See "Project" tab for more specifics.

Week 11

This week you will turn in your final project on social media.
1. Turn in final project
2. Share your project with another person and/or group and respond two at least two projects.

Week 12

This week you will learn terminology in human rights discourse.

1. Read and watch the lecture on human rights.

2. Take quiz on human rights terminology and basic tenets.

3. Watch Netflix's Joshua: Teenager Vs. Superpower

4. Turn in journal/discussion on the film

Week 13

Reading and writing week

1. Skim over all of the constitutions; pick three to read.

2. Fill out the form for each of the chosen readings.

Week 14

Begin the final project

1. Read over the options for the final project

2. Choose groups and brainstorm

3. Schedule conference with groups and teacher

Week 15

This week you will work with your groups and meet with the teacher to make sure the project is going in the right direction.

Week 16

This week you will be turning in your final project and sharing with your other peers.

Finals

Turn in all final assignments.
